Bankroll Chart

So in the last two days I did some work putting together a bankroll table for whenever my roll is less than $50.  I already have a similar chart for aggressive play when my roll is over $50 – but now I have one to follow while I’m still nursing my roll in its infancy.  While Chris Ferguson’s bottom line was no tournament less than $1, I’m not quite as confident in my abilities (it seems likely to me I will have many streaks of five poor finishes in $1 events that would destroy my tiny bankroll).

This chart does change some of the games I am willing to play in at this point.  Check it out below.

The basic rundown is as follows:

To play at a certain level of 9-18 man SNGs, I must have 10 buy-ins in my bankroll.
To play at a certain level of 27-45 man SNGs, I must have 20 buy-ins in my bankroll.
To play at a certain level of multi-table tournaments, I must have 50 buy-ins in my bankroll.
To sit at in a NLHE Cash Game, I must have 20 buy-ins (and a minimum of 75 big blinds) in my bankroll.
To sit at a PLO Cash Game, I must have 25 buy-ins (and a minimum of 100 big blinds) in my bankroll.

If my bankroll is lower than $5, I continue playing with $5 rules (since there really aren’t a lot of other options on PokerStars).

I am right around $5-$6 right now.
